
California Raisin Peanut Butter Griddlers

2 Tbsp. California Raisin Peanut Butter Spread (see below) |
2 slices whole wheat bread |
1/4 banana |
Butter, as needed |

California Raisin Peanut Butter Spread |
3/4 c. California raisins |
1/2 c. apple juice |
2 Tbsp. honey |
2 tsp. ground cinnamon |
1 c. creamy peanut butter |
Directions:
1. Spread 2 Tbsp. California Raisin Peanut Butter Spread evenly over 1 slice of whole wheat bread. Top with 1/4 banana cut into 9 very thin slices and top with another slice of bread.
2. Butter both sides lightly and cook in a small heavy skillet over medium heat until lightly browned on both sides and heated through. Cut into 4 sticks.
California Raisin Peanut Butter Spread:
1. Measure raisins and apple juice into small saucepan and bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 8-10 min. or until raisins have absorbed all the juice. Stir in honey and cinnamon; cool slightly. Stir in peanut butter.
* Raisin Peanut Butter Spread is great for lunches! Place in small plastic container with graham cracker sticks for dipping! Spread onto bread, mini-bagels apple slices or celery sticks.
